Applications return each spring · AvH students in Grades 7–12

The Application

Your contribution deserves to be seen.

The process is intentionally reflective and accessible. Apply for yourself, or nominate a student whose leadership deserves recognition.

Before you begin

English, French, or German. Your story, in your words.

Students may apply for themselves, or be nominated by a peer, teacher, family member, or community member. Applications and supporting materials may be prepared in English, French, or German.

Applications typically close in spring, shortly after the April break. The current form always displays the official deadline for that year.

The process

01

Choose your path

Submit a self-nomination, or nominate another AvH student in Grades 7–12.

02

Tell the story

Reflect on leadership, meaningful experience, community involvement, and the impact created.

03

Gather support

Self-nominations include a short CV and one support letter. Nominations of others include nominee details and a support letter.

04

Submit in your language

Complete the trilingual form in English, French, or German. Thoughtfulness matters more than length.

A thoughtful application

Show the difference the work made.

Strong applications do more than list activities. They help the reader understand what prompted the work, how others were involved, what changed, and what you learned along the way.

Clarity and reflection matter more than length. Specific moments and honest observations are often the best place to begin.
